A high school chemistry experiment using common chemicals went wrong
today at a laboratory at Genoa- (Illinois) Kingston High School,
and seven students were injured.
Two students had second-degree burns to the face and neck, while
the others apparently had less serious injuries.
Classes were cancelled for the rest of the day.
Genoa is about 55 miles northwest of Chicago.
